Our route was as follows: Catholic Church in Bălan - Blacksmith's Valley - Piatra Singuratică Cabin - Piatra Singuratică - Curmătura Saddle - Hășmașul Mare Peak - Curmătura Saddle - Piatra Singuratică Cabin - Blacksmith's Valley - Catholic Church in Bălan. The total duration of the hike was approximately 10 hours, at a normal pace, including breaks for photos and food. Route length: approximately 17 km. Elevation gain: approximately 1100m. Elevation loss: approximately 1100m. Difficulty: medium. It was a beautiful hike, we also climbed to Piatra Singuratică and experienced the sunset from Hășmașul Mare Peak! The trail to Hășmașul Mare Peak, the highest peak in the Hășmaș Mountains at 1792 meters altitude, offers a captivating mountain experience as part of the Eastern Carpathians. Along the ascent, hikers can admire impressive landscapes, including the Moara Dracului scree slope and various secondary ridges. Once at the peak, the view opens up towards the Olt Valley and other mountain ranges such as Ceahlău and Bucegi.
