27.12.2024 - DE: Spontaner Zwischenstopp am Bodensee! Trotz des nasskalten Wetters habe ich in Rorschach Hafen haltgemacht, um die besondere Atmosphäre am See einzufangen. Es ist beeindruckend, wie sich die Bahnlinie hier direkt durch das Stadtgebiet am Ufer entlangschlängelt. Die zahlreichen Bahnübergänge sind für ein massives Verkehrsaufkommen zwischen Stadt und Hafen konzipiert und die gesamte Infrastruktur perfekt auf die grosszügige Einbindung der Regionalzüge ausgelegt. Es macht grossen Spass, die Stadler-Züge und SBB-Kompositionen in dieser maritimen Umgebung zu beobachten. Despite the cold and wet weather, I stopped at Rorschach Hafen to capture the special atmosphere by the lake. It is impressive how the railway line winds its way directly through the urban area along the shore. The numerous level crossings are designed for massive traffic volumes between the city and the harbour, and the entire infrastructure is perfectly suited for the generous integration of regional trains. It is great fun to watch the Stadler trains and SBB compositions in this maritime setting.
