Moved by the sound of the quena he heard while studying at the University of Tsukuba, he devoted himself to playing the instrument. After completing his graduate studies at Tsukuba University, he traveled to South America, the home of the instrument, and later became a junior high school teacher. However, his strong passion for the quena led him to turn professional as a quena player in April 2008 and begin full-fledged performance activities. He continues to pursue the sound of the instrument with his own unique style, incorporating elements of all genres, not just South American folk music, but also tango, jazz, pop, and Japanese music, and has performed at the World Heritage Site, Nikko Toshogu Shrine, and collaborated with Tokiko Kato and Ken Tanaka. In addition to eight albums, in 2015 he released a single CD with his original song "Strawberry Song," with lyrics written by Tokiko Kato, as the "Tochigi Prefecture JA Tochiotome Support Song." As one of the few quena players in Japan, he is active in a wide range of activities, including concerts across the country, composing original songs, recording, quena classes, and quena production. In December 2014, he was appointed Ashikaga City Tourism Ambassador "Ashikaga Shine Ambassador," and in October 2015, he was appointed Tochigi Prefecture Tourism Ambassador "Tochigi Future Ambassador."
