Maserati GranCabrio 2024: VA A 300 KM/H con 4 POSTI "veri"
The 2024 Maserati GranCabrio is the soft-top version of the Maserati GranTurismo, introduced in 2022 and which we tested for the first time in 2023. Like its coupé sibling, the GranCabrio can accommodate two adults in the rear seats, allowing four passengers to travel under the open sky. Unlike other comparable cars, which are usually "2+2" configurations, With the top down, this Maserati showcases the elegance of its interior, featuring color combinations that stand out against the body paint, seeking that extra touch of Italian style that is part of the Trident brand's charm. As do the performance and driving pleasure, with two available engines: the GranCabrio is available with the 550 hp 3.0 V6 twin-turbo gasoline engine in the Trofeo version and with the 762 hp electric drive in the Folgore version. The 2024 Maserati GranCabrio offers four usable adult seats, thanks in part to its generous exterior dimensions: it measures 4.97 meters in length, 1.37 meters in height, 1.96 meters in width, and has a wheelbase of 2.93 meters. The body is constructed using 65% lightweight metals such as magnesium and aluminum, along with high-strength steel alloys, resulting in a claimed weight of 1,820 kg for the gasoline engine and 2,340 kg for the electric version. The exterior styling echoes that of the GranTurismo coupé, highlighting volumes and proportions without overemphasizing the forms with overly pronounced lines. The trunk of the 2024 Maserati GranCabrio starts at 151 liters for the Folgore and 173 liters for the Trofeo. So, not much for a car nearly 5 meters long: to get an idea, consider two popular cars: the Fiat 500 (185 liters) and the Fiat Panda (225 liters). A distinguishing feature of the GranCabrio are the "neck warmer" vents integrated into the seats, which are useful for driving with the top down even when outside temperatures are low. Additionally, a wind deflector can be installed that blocks the rear seats, reducing turbulence when traveling with just two people in the front. The 2024 Maserati GranCabrio has replaced the naturally aspirated V8 of the previous model with the 3.0 V6 bi-turbo engine, first introduced on the Maserati MC20 under the name Nettuno. Specs: 550 hp, 650 Nm, all-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission, 0-100 km/h acceleration in 3.6 seconds, top speed of 316 km/h. The Maserati GranCabrio Folgore is powered by three permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, one at the front and two at the rear, which use torque vectoring to regulate the car's rotation on the vertical axis (yaw) during acceleration, when releasing the accelerator, and when braking. The combined maximum power output is 762 hp (560 kW), reaching up to 830 hp (610 kW) with the MaxBoost function. Maximum torque is 1,350 Nm, and with all-wheel drive, the 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 2.8 seconds, 0-200 km/h in 9.1 seconds, and a top speed of 290 km/h.
