Sierra Hull "Queen of Hearts/Royal Tea"

A Tennessee mandolin prodigy, Sierra Hull comes to us fresh from releasing her third solo album, the jaw-dropping, Bela Fleck-produced Weighted Mind. Of her, Fleck notes, “She plays the mandolin with a degree of refined elegance and freedom that few have achieved… Her vocals and songwriting matured to the level of her virtuosity.” Hull has played the White House, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center, and is the first bluegrass musician to receive a Presidential Scholarship at the Berklee College of Music. Taped 333-feet below ground within Tennessee’s majestic Cumberland Caverns, this 12-part “musical adventure” series features both well-established and top emerging artists within the broad spectrum of Bluegrass, Jamgrass, Roots-Rock, Neo-Folk and Americana genres. More Bluegrass Underground (PBS) Season Six artists include Dave Rawlings Machine, The Suffers, Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Mac McAnally, JJ Grey & MoFro, The Cox Family, The Lone Bellow, Drivin’ and Cryin’, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, and Jason & The Scorchers.
