🇿🇦 Hiking Drakensberg - Chain ladders to Tugela Falls - South Africa

Follow us on the Drakensberg Hiking trail to Tugala Falls via the chainladder route. The amphitheater hike is probably the most popular tour in the Drakensberg area and can be easily done during a weekend stay in the area. Hiking in the Drakensberg mountains, if you care about our review, is a must do activity during a stay in South Africa. Multiple operators offer guided tours, but it can be easily done as a solo hike. The hike is located at the border of Freistaat and Natal, in the Royal Natal national park. On the way to Sentinel Peak, you will enjoy beautiful landscapes and adrenalin of climbing the chainladders up to the plateau of the table mountain. Importantly, the hike requires to pay an entrance fee to the national park, and you will require transportation to the start of the hike. The transportation and fee can be organized at the Witsieshoek Mountain Lodge, which is also a good base to stay at, if you are looking at doing the hike.
