Corpo-baião: como permanecer juntos_Cia Balé Baião CE

The work evokes the memories and explorations of the Balé Baião Company, a collection of bodily/sound/image repertoires mixed choreographically under the direction of Brunno de Jesus (Salvador/BA) and dramaturgical direction of Gerson Moreno (Itapipoca/CE). The intention is to bring the audience closer to the work, making everyone a compositional part of it, building in real time relationships of affection, ancestral reverence, political affirmation, joy, and celebration! It has become increasingly challenging and difficult to continue researching, experimenting, creating, and performing as a collective and/or company. Our greatest desire is to be able to talk about this through this show, and above all, to affirm that yes, it is possible to remain a group, grow old, and dance as a group. It's about experimentation and exploration, but mainly about sharing precious findings that have materialized over three decades in the life-scene: training and codes of body movement, improvisation techniques, real-time creative games, collective composition agreements, among other inventive adventures. It's about reciprocity, sensitive exchanges, and communion with peers.
