Flying to Lundy Island - Jodel D150 Mascaret - Cockpit View

Lundy Island rough grass airstrip elevation 455ft AMSL. Landing with two low passes to clear sheep from runway. Runway is approximately 400 metres humped in middle with upslopes on thresholds in both directions, rutted in parts and edged with painted white granite stones. Lighthouse just off runway centreline at western end. Video of approach to SW runway (24) into light wind estimated 8-10kts from SW (directly down runway). First clearing pass at 90kts, second pass at 65-70kts, one stage of flap, final approach and landing at 60kts, full flap. Slight turbulence on short final over cliffs. Bounce on landing (video 8.33), due to depression /upslope at touchdown point, slightly more round out than usual would have been better. Braked to easy stop at mid-point. Original flight June 2015
