Belgian warship departs UK base for sea as HMS Queen Elizabeth appears on the horizon

A Belgian frigate, BNS Leopold I, heads out to sea from Devonport Naval Base in Plymouth. Police boats escort the warship, Royal Marines conduct training, and British aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth, appears on the horizon. BNS Leopold I (F930) is a Karel Doorman-class frigate that entered military service in 2007 with the Belgian Navy. Previously, it was launched in 1988 and commissioned in 1991 with the Royal Netherlands Navy as HNLMS Karel Doorman. The warship is participating in Fleet Operational Standards and Training (FOST), a training programme provided by the Royal Navy at His Majesty's Naval Base (HMNB) Devonport in Plymouth, UK.
