VW Golf GTI MK I How does it feel to drive today?

Is 50 year's old Golf GTI still fun to drive? Today I had a unique opportunity to drive VW Golf MK I from Volkswagen's heritage fleet on a test track. The car looked like new and was 100% standard, so I was able to experience it almost like a buyer would do 50 years ago. Soft suspension, not a lot of power, but at the same time, extremely light.
