Steam Incorporated - 50th Anniversary Excursions (HD)

In June 2022, Paekakariki based Steam Incorporated celebrated their 50th anniversary with two double headed excursion trains from Wellington to Woodville & return. Steam locomotives Ja 1271 & Ab 608 'Passchendaele' hauled the wooden fleet of carriages + steel carvan via the Kapiti Coast (NIMT) & Manawatu Gorge. Whist diesel locomotives Da's 1410 & 1431 hauled the fleet of steel panelled carriages via the Hutt Valley (Wairarapa Line). A rare treat for these excursions, was a parallel run out of the Wellington in the morning, before the trains went their separate ways. We cover the northbound sector of the steam excursion, then the southbound sector of the diesel excursion, before concluding with the arrival of the Ja & Ab back in Wellington, enjoy!
