We also heard a moving story about how they have adapted to the times while preserving traditional techniques. I wish I could have participated in a workshop where they actually dyed a half-collar. In addition to visiting dye shops, they also hold various classes, such as Yuzen dyeing and kimono dressing classes. They sell Tokyo Some Komon and Edo Sarasa kimonos, obi belts, bags, brushes, and other tools. They re-dye old items and sell all the scraps.
