The Head of the Sorong City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Afriangga Tan, revealed that the Unit I Jatanras team successfully arrested the alleged main perpetrator, identified as HS, alias Husnah, in Manado City, North Sulawesi. The case, which occurred in December 2025, was only reported to the police in early January 2026. As a salesperson known for her loyalty and trust in the office, Husnah freely sold dozens of products without suspicion. She disguised this act by pretending to have won a social gathering (arisan) and deposited some of the proceeds into the store to deceive management. From this practice, Husnah earned a personal profit of up to IDR 299 million, claiming she was in debt. However, after her arrest, Husnah began to speak out. She revealed that she did not act alone. Husnah admitted that a total of 40 units of cellphones, mostly iPhone 16 and 17 models, were shipped to two receivers: BA, a businessman, and TR, a suspected police officer. Dozens of iPhones, officially valued at Rp 25 million, were sold cheaply by Husnah for Rp 21 million each to the two receivers, who then resold them to the public at the normal price. Based on this testimony, Husnah's attorney, Siti Zakiah, urged investigators to act professionally and immediately arrest the two receivers under Article 480 of the Criminal Code.
