When our international flight from Melbourne Airport was scheduled to depart at 7am, we knew the smartest thing to do was to stay overnight at the Park Royal Melbourne Airport Hotel, the closest hotel to Terminal 2. As an avid aviation fanatic and spotter, I made sure to book a runway view room. This decision resulted in an all-nighter for me, but that’s perfectly fine because I can always catch up on sleep during the flight! Thanks to Melbourne Airport, we also received a voucher to dine at Biggie Smalls. We enjoyed the yummiest southern fried chicken and lamb kebabs, but the dish that absolutely blew us away was the deep-fried Mac n Cheese balls. Seriously, they were the best things ever! If you ever have an early morning flight at Melbourne Airport, consider staying overnight at the Park Royal Hotel. It’s a decision you won’t regret!
