A gene is a basic unit of heredity. In addition to genes, we also define chromosomes as being non-sex (or autosomal) or sex (allosomes). Within our chromosome, we have the gene locus, the location on the chromosome where a gene is located. We are used to treating the alleles of our genes as dominant allele (capital letter, usually represented) and recessive allele (lowercase letter, usually represented). #ProfGui #Module2 #Lesson1
