Autobús con 40 jóvenes pierde frenos y vuelca en Guayllabamba

A school bus carrying 40 teenagers to a catechism class in El Quinche lost its brakes on the Pan-American Highway North and crashed into a paint truck. Firefighters deployed 40 personnel and 12 ambulances to attend to 42 patients, while one young man died at the scene and another died while being transported. The Metropolitan Transit Agency closed the highway for six hours to collect evidence, and authorities are investigating the exact causes of the accident.
