🚨 The La Nkwantanang-Madina Municipal Assembly, led by MCE Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, has intensified its enforcement against unauthorized developments in flood-prone areas. The MCE announced that: "There will be no compensation for anyone whose house will be demolished today." During the exercise, officials marked buildings constructed in waterlogged areas for demolition as part of efforts to reduce flooding and enforce planning regulations. In another incident, a man pleaded with the MCE after being confronted for constructing a building without a valid permit. The man claimed he had paid GH¢5,000 for a building plan approval, but the MCE explained that this did not constitute the required building permit. According to the Assembly, the developer had previously been warned several times to regularize the project, and officials were instructed to begin prosecution.
