Shame & Conformity in Smith College Department of Res Life
Most of us are too afraid to say anything because we worry about being shunned, shamed and cast out of campus. We have seen it happen to others; we do everything we can to avoid it. Is this healthy? Do we want to work in an environment ruled by fear and mass conformity? Or do we want a flourishing community where ideas, reason, art and imagination abound?
