Teddy Ruxpin Refurb Part 4 - Adjusting The Playback Spring
Continuing the series in which I refurbish a 1985 Teddy Ruxpin. This video contains the section that was removed from Part 3, concerning the correct adjustment of the playback spring. It highlights the issues that can occur if it has deviated from the factory setting, and gives a guide on how to detect these and put things right. It seemed important and self contained enough to be its own video. If your cassette door opens and shuts smoothly, the tape heads enter and leave the cassette correctly, and the power cuts out correctly only when the cassette door is opened, then maybe give this one a miss.
