Northern Trains Limited 158756, Leeds to Halifax - 08/10/2020

Filmed on 08/10/2020. For the first time in over 3 years, it is time of what is a long overdue to the heart of West Yorkshire. Starting of with a train ride between Leeds and Halifax. (Season 7 Episode 17) On board on 158756 which is now a fully refurbished class 158 unit alongside the majority of the 158 fleet Northern has in the new livery and interior refurbishment. Since the May timetable changes was made in 2019, Northern has introduced a new hourly service between Hull and Halifax as there was only 1 train per hour between Hull and Leeds by Transpennine Express. Northern runs stopping services every hour between the two big cities for 2 trains an hour. A train that is normally worked by a class 158/170 units. On this day, it was mostly class 158's with Cummins engines that worked the Hull Halifax diagrams. The line between Leeds and Halifax see's various and busy services throughout with Northern and Grand Central operating services between Bradford Interchange and Halifax and onwards to Leeds.
