Can a cheap offset smoker do the same for less $$$? Oklahoma Joes Highland first impressions

I purchased a Oklahoma Joes Highland offset smoker on clearance to find out if a cheap offset smoker can give me the same great results for a fraction of the money as premium backyard offset smokers. This is my first impressions of the OKJ Highland after assembling it, doing a break in burn and biscuit test. I bought my Smoke North Carlisle offset in fall 2021 and there is a rumour of a second generation pit in the works. Before considering an upgrade I wanted to understand (1) if there is a difference between a cheap offset and a premium backyard offset smoker and (2) if you have an Oklahoma Joes Highland, are there things we can do that close the potential performance gap to offsets costing several times more.
