Happy Birthday America! CSX 250 & CSX 2026 at Pearson Yard
On July 3, 2026, at Pearson Yard were treated to a memorable sight as CSX’s newest commemorative locomotives, Nos. 250 and 2026, rolled through in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. These specially painted modernized CM44AH locomotives honor the nation’s rich history and the vital role railroads have played in building and connecting the United States for more than two centuries. With No. 250 featuring a striking Stars and Stripes design and No. 2026 displaying a majestic bald eagle alongside the motto “United We Stand,” the pair made an unforgettable appearance, drawing admiration from everyone fortunate enough to witness their patriotic journey through Pearson Yard. Pearson Yard is just west of Martinsburg WV.
