Ah, Avatar the Last Airbender. It's been too long since I've revisited you. Every time I re-watch this show, I discover something new. The depth of its characters is truly spectacular, and that absolutely applies to Toph. On the surface, she's just the Gaang's heavy hitter, a badass earthbender brought on to kick butt and teach Aang how to move boulders. But she's so much more than that. She's a kid, searching for freedom and independence, but what she finds is new responsibility and new expectations placed upon her. As it turns out, though, those aren't so bad...
