The Origin of the Now-Iconic National Park Posters

Like many of us, Adam Savage has always been an enormous fan of ‪@NationalParkService‬'s graphic design, which harkens back to a time when horse-drawn buggies and automobiles explored U.S. parks side by side. At the NPS Museum Conservation Lab, archivist Eleanore Kohorn shares some of NPS' earliest designs from windshield stickers (1920s) to Dorothy Waugh’s travel posters (1934-1937) to WPA (Works Projects Administration) posters (1938-1941). It's a fascinating look into the parks' history and solutions to long-forgotten challenges! National Park Museum Conservation Lab: https://www.nps.gov/subjects/hfc/muse...
