Hanzvadzi Yangu PT 1, is a heartfelt dedication song to my beloved Aunty Guidance. This song was born from a painful and emotional time in our family’s life, when Guidance was missing for many years and we did not know where she was. After years of searching, we finally received the good news that she had been found near the Mozambican border. Out of love, I had to travel to Mozambique to see her. The message of this song is to let her know that, as her brother, I was never angry with her despite the situation. Whatever issues made her disappear at that time, our family love was always more important. This song carries forgiveness, understanding, hope, and the unbreakable bond of family. Hanzvadzi Yangu PT 1 is also dedicated in loving memory of her first-born son, my beloved nephew — muzukuru wangu. May his memory continue to live in our hearts.
