Incorporating mindfulness into a day-to-day routine, even in small ways, can positively impact many aspects of life. Marie's life has changed for the better since practicing mindfulness and wants to share the practice with others so they can experience the joy that she has. In her talk, she uncovers some misconceptions about Mindfulness and helps the audience to understand Mindfulness correctly and practice it daily. Marie Ficociello is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Coordinator of the Echocardiography Program at MCPHS University. Marie has been studying and practicing mindfulness for many years. She is currently studying to earn two different certifications “Koru Mindfulness” and “Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction” to teach mindfulness-based programs. The goal of both programs is to teach people how to practice mindfulness on a daily basis to improve their quality of life.
