( T'KO round 10 ) : David Tua vs Hasim Rahman

Heavyweight boxing match between Hasim Rahman vs David Tua on December 19, 1998 in Miami, Florida, United States. Where the match was a fight for the IBF Intercontinental and USBA heavyweight titles, which at that time were held by the undefeated Hasim Rahman (29:0) In the first round of this match Hasim Rahman managed to dominate David Tua with the jabs he released and limited the movement of David Tua's famously strong left hook (32:1). In the second round of this match Hasim Rahman also managed to keep his distance well from David Tua's reach and would release good punches when David Tua approached him. However, at the end of the ninth round of this match for the first time Hasim Rahman was careless about his defense, where two hard left hooks released by David Tua managed to make Hasim Rahman stagger to the corner of the ring just before the final bell for the ninth round of this match sounded. At the beginning of the tenth round of this match, David Tua again unleashed a series of punches that were unable to be answered by Hasim Rahman at the edge of the ring which made the referee step in to save Hasim Rahman from punishment by a man who was considered one of the strongest heavyweights at that time.
