MEMPHIS MOST DANGEROUS HOODS: KLONDIKE - N CLAYBROOK ST BREEDLOVE ST ANNIE PLACE

PLEASE LIKE AND SUBSCRIBE!! NEW HOOD VIDEOS PREMIERING WEEKLY!! Got a good lil hood for y'all today...in the heart of North Memphis. This area was annexed into the city of Memphis in the late 1890's. It was around the time of the famous Klondike Gold Rush and got its name because at the time it was muddy, rough, and difficult to reach-much like the gold fields of Yukon. In the early 1900's it became one of Memphis' first middle-class black neighborhoods. It has survived redlining, big industry scattered amongst it, and increasing poverty-and remains a tightly-knit community today. Blight and high crime have taken over the landscape in recent decades.
