Uroczyste posiedzenie senatu z okazji 81. rocznicy powstania Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego - 24.05.2026

The University of Lodz is a diverse community. It is a community based on respect, curiosity, and the courage to seek truth. This year, we are celebrating the 81st anniversary of the university's founding. Although the anniversary itself falls on May 24th, today we gathered for a ceremonial session of the UniLodz Senate, accompanied by invited guests: academics and authorities from other Łódź universities, local government officials, politicians, and representatives of social organizations. The first part of the celebrations was devoted to the awarding of an honorary doctorate to Professor Jerzy Hausner – professor of economics, long-time employee of the Kraków University of Economics, author of over 700 scientific publications, co-founder of public reforms, and one of the most important figures in the Polish debate on the economy and public administration.
