Murat Community Choir: “Somebody prayed for me” @MangiHB

The Background In 2021 the people of Mussau, Emirau,and Tench (MURAT) celebrated 90 years of Adventism onto their islands. Once barbaric cannibals were converted to Christianity through the ministry of singing. Since then singing had been part of their passion and ministering the Word. The Invitation It was during that 90th Anniversary Celebration that a Bougainville Pastor, married to a local Mussau woman, invited the Choir to attend. MURAT CHOIR participation 1. To show their appreciation to the people of AROB, being the gateway of Adventism into the Bismark Region (now known as the NGI); 2. since that time intermarriage had taken place between the two matrilineal cultures; and 3. as part of the restoration and healing process of the Bougainville people after the trauma of the Crisis. The CHOIR had initiated a project to rebuild a dilapidated clinic at Kastorita and hopeful hand it to the people during this centennial celebration.
