Państwa europejskie i przyjęcie chrześcijaństwa w średniowiecznej Europie

After the fall of the Roman Empire, European states faced the need to create a new political and cultural order. During this period, Christianity gradually became not only a religion but also an important tool for legitimizing power, diplomacy, and alliances between states. For rulers of the early Middle Ages, the choice of faith increasingly determined the political direction and future development of their states. The process of Christianization unfolded differently in different regions of Europe. Some peoples adopted the new faith through alliances with Rome or Byzantium, others through wars, internal conflicts, and external pressure. The adoption of Christianity influenced domestic politics, international relations, and the cultural identity of Bulgaria, Kievan Rus', Poland, Hungary, the Scandinavian kingdoms, and the Baltic lands. It was during this period that religious divisions and political traditions were formed, influencing the further development of Europe and remaining felt to this day. #history
