KBS's new romantic comedy drama 'The Man Living in Our House' is promising viewers a delightful laugh and heart-pounding excitement this fall. On the afternoon of the 20th, the production conference for KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Man Living in Our House' was held at the Times Square Amoris Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. On this day, PD Kim Jung-min, along with actors Soo Ae, Kim Young-kwang, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Jo Bo-ah, attended and brightened up the event. 'The Man Living in Our House' is a mystery romantic comedy based on the popular webtoon of the same name, 'The Man Living in Our House', and is a work that depicts the twists and turns between a young man named Ko Nan-gil (played by Kim Young-kwang) who insists he's his father, Hong Na-ri (played by Soo Ae) who suddenly has a younger father, and their family. Soo Ae, who is making a comeback to the small screen after 9 years, said about why she chose this work, “I think there is a character I want to play that fits my age and the situation. If I played a heavy character in other works, I chose this because I wanted to greet you with a character with a light heart at this point in time.” She added, “It’s also fun to discover a new side of myself on set. I will work hard so that viewers can relate to it.” In the drama, Soo Ae plays the role of Hong Na-ri, a wannabe studio assistant whose life is torn apart in an instant. Kim Young-kwang, who took his first lead role in a public broadcasting miniseries, said, “I started out feeling burdened by my first lead role on a public broadcasting network. Once I actually started filming, my seniors, director, and staff took good care of me, so I’m having fun filming.” Kim Young-kwang plays the mysterious younger stepfather, a dumpling man who is full of secrets, ‘Go Nan-gil’. Lee Soo-hyuk, who has shown a new side of himself in works of various genres, is expected to show a different acting transformation in this drama as the third-ranking heir, the rich spoon 'Kwon Deok-bong'. Regarding his feelings about appearing on the show, he said, "I think I can show a bright and light side instead of the heavy side of the past," and expressed his anticipation by saying, "I think the range of characters has expanded a bit compared to before. I am very satisfied with the filming because I am a friend who has more three-dimensional aspects than the characters I have played so far." Kim Young-kwang and Lee Soo-hyuk are known close friends in the entertainment industry. Regarding each other's charms, Kim Young-kwang said, "He is good at focusing on his own thoughts. He may look chic on the outside, but he is a very meticulous friend." Lee Soo-hyuk said, "We have worked together since we were young, so we help each other well and give each other good advice." He added, "I am happy to be the lead in a work. I will work hard to be well-incorporated into the drama."
