Rise of Minolta - the original SR series cameras
We take a look at Minolta's first single lens reflex (SLR) camera, the Minolta SR2, and subsequent SR1, SR3 cameras that launched in the late 1950's (1958, 1959, 1960). The SR series combined the best innovations to date, and introduced a modern, reliable, and successful line of cameras and lenses that continued on with the SRT series in the 1960's, evolving through the XK, XE, XD, XG series, to the eventual and final X700 flagship camera of the early 1980's.
