Franklin River rafting 2019: DAY 1 of 8

Day 1 of an 8 day trip down the Franklin River in Tasmania's remote World Heritage listed South West Wild River's National Park. We leave and the Collingwood River, pass the Franklin River confluence, battle rapids, gobsmacked by it's beauty and arrive at the Irenabys to camp under the stars - and this is just the first day!! For dinner we feasted on garlic butter prawns, spicy noodle soup and fruit salad & cream. We had perfect weather and bang on water levels, this is about as good as "the Ditch" gets!
