Dark Fantasy Acrylic Painting Technique - Dion Hamill

For this painting titled - THE BOG - I demonstrate how to use paint brush and airbrush techniques to blend acrylic ink in conjunction with color pencil. To easily produce a dark, moody fantasy illustration in no time at all! Here is a short story I wrote to go with the piece. Through the misty haze he could see something tall and jagged. An old tree with branches gnarled and worn. Twisting as if in pain. That was when he realised the tree was not made of wood, but the bones and flesh of the warriors who had come before him. He was frozen with fear and intrigue. Mesmerised by the horror in front of him when suddenly, something moved behind the tree. Shrouded in shadow it rose from its haunches. It did not speak.
