Out’s Unpredictable public transport: Too any times we saw too many disabled people being left on trains, crawling to bathrooms on planes, and having their wheelchairs lots and damaged on flights. Claiming to be accessible, but it’s not: We need clear information on websites, and disabled people need to be consulted in disability accessibility. Slacktivism: Go the full way, and see it thought. Last year we saw Primark launch their adaptive lingerie range. Fantastic! Although they fell short when only a handful of stores stocked the items, and made it almost impossible for disabled people to purchase, with no click and collect options, or ordering online options. Not paying disabled people: You wouldn’t get an election in to fix your wiring, then offer them a cup of tea and a slice of cake as payment. So why is this ok for disabled people? This happens too often with disabled freelancers. We deserve to be paid our worth. In’s Authentic disability representation: Last year we saw some awesome disability representation. Wicked being one movie who really hit the nail on the head. Lets see more of this More flexible hybrid working: Disabled people want to work, but often hours and access made it impossible. Lets see more options for disabled people. Affordable adaptive clothing: Adaptive clothing is so expensive. I’d love to see more high street options.
