Eiche continued to dominate in the second period: After Schenefeld's first goal, the Bremen side responded immediately, extending their lead to 4-1. Shortly before the break, Schenefeld managed to reduce the deficit to 4-2, keeping themselves in contention. The game completely turned around in the final period.
