Why Mousehunt Still Matters | Movie Review
Mouse Hunt (or MouseHunt, if the poster, IMDb, Letterboxed, and every other service is to be believed), the 1997 debut feature of Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring, Rango), is more than just a plussed-up Home Alone knockoff. This slice of 90s black comedy strangeness is a delightful and bizarre love letter to silent and surrealist comedy that was far better than it had any right to be. On this episode of Too Many Tapes, let's take a look at the reasons MouseHunt managed to excel where other family comedies of the 90s failed. --- Music: https://www.bensound.com Support me on Patreon — / toomanytapes
