Corrosion Protection : What are stray currents & how can they impact on the integrity of pipelines
Join the South East Branch for a presentation that will cover AC and DC interference to buried or immersed pipelines. Sources of interference will be identified and a non-technical explanation of the effect of these stray currents on the external corrosion of pipelines will be provided. It will include an explanation of why some pipelines are capable of delivering electric shocks to personnel during the construction phase. Information on mitigation techniques is explained.
