Im Test: Scarpa Ribelle Run

Denis introduces the Scarpa Ribelle Run. Scarpa Ribelle Run / €149 / 280 g / 4 mm drop At first, I had a big question mark in my head – what exactly is this Scarpa for? After all, the SPIN series already covers a whole range of surfaces and running distances. Now, the RIBELLE RUN. Presumably the first shoe bearing the signature of Marco de Gasperi, the multiple mountain running world champion who now oversees the development of trail shoes at Scarpa. Once out on alpine terrain, I found that the RIBELLE RUN is a true trail shoe that gains control on technical terrain with its sensitivity and grip. It's an absolute blast there and is a stable and comfortable shoe that's perfect for short to medium distances up and down the mountain. With an even more aggressive tread pattern, it could have expanded its range of uses even further. We also really liked the very grippy outsole and the secure fit inside the shoe. Talented, well-trained runners will certainly find a shoe suitable for long tours; everyone else will find a sure-footed, technically precise companion for special moments.
