Police are re-investigating 54 sexual assault and child abuse cases after concerns about one case triggered a review of almost a thousand files. The files were managed by one senior officer over a three-year period. That officer is prominent Detective Inspector Kevan Verry, who told Stuff the scale of the review was “news to me”.
