We're in the Gran Paradiso National Park in the Aosta Valley, in the hamlet of Lillaz (Cogne). A magical landscape of larch trees and splashing water, framed by magnificent mountains. The hike to the first waterfall is very short and suitable for everyone; even strollers can easily reach it. Then the trail becomes a bit steep and rugged, but the sound of the water will accompany you throughout the hike. The rest area is a parking lot with a barrier that's always open, with electricity, loading and unloading. It's on the road on one side and the Urtier stream on the other, but it's quiet and well-lit at night. There are 32 parking spaces. We paid with a debit card at the parking meter on the right as we entered!
