Dafen Oil Painting (大芬油画村)

Dafen oil painting village is an integrated industry that employs thousands of painters who reproduce oil paintings from photos at very low cost. This service was started by a private businessman from Hong Kong in 1989, but currently the local governments are funding a face lift of the village to make it look like an artists colony.
