Today's class is perfect for those who need to relieve pain and tension in the jaw or related areas (ear, tinnitus, neck, and head). The biggest cause of tension in the jaw (TMJ - temporomandibular joint) is stress and anxiety. This constant pressure and tension can eventually develop into TMD (Temporomandibular Dysfunction) or Bruxism. In this class, we will do exercises commonly used by physiotherapists, adapted for Yoga. We will use breathing techniques to intensify relaxation and yoga postures to reduce stress and anxiety. I've included the exercises that have worked best for me in this class. You can do this class up to twice a day. For best results, practice daily for at least 7 days. But you can do it whenever you want, daily. This class does not replace a consultation with specialists in the field. It also does not replace jaw physiotherapy.
