This Is Not the Philippines I Grew Up In: Juvenile Violence Is Out of Control

This is not the Philippines I grew up in. I grew up in a time when young people were taught discipline, respect, and accountability. Today, we are witnessing a disturbing rise in juvenile violence, lawlessness, and moral decay. Crimes committed by minors are becoming more brutal, more frequent, and more alarming. How did we get here? Why are more young people becoming involved in violent crimes, armed attacks, and senseless acts of brutality? At what point did fear of consequences disappear? Juvenile violence is clearly spiraling out of control, and pretending otherwise will only make things worse. We cannot keep responding with weak policies while innocent lives are being destroyed. This vlog is my personal reflection, frustration, and call for serious action. We need accountability. We need stronger deterrence. And above all, we need leaders who are willing to confront this crisis head-on before more lives are lost. This is not the Philippines I once knew—and if we stay silent, it may only get worse.
