Rhys Chatham - Guitar Trio - Live at BBMIX 2021

Excerpt from the performance of the Rhys Chatham’s electric guitar orchestra on November 27 2021 at BBmix festival. The guitar ensemble consists of: Rhys Chatham, guitar Camille Raulet, drums Myriam Stamoulis, bass Jean-François Pauvros, guitar Nico Guerrero, guitar Tatiana Paris, guitar Lou Garcia, guitar Maxime Delpierre, guitar Jérôme Vassereau & Julien Sénélas, Live modular synthesizer The Rhys Chatham’s Electric Guitar Orchestra uses six guitars (including Chatham), bass and drums. The piece in its full form consists of two 20-minutes sections; the second part is accompanied by a minimalist film made in the late 1970s by the visual artist Robert Longo (former member of the Guitar Trio group) entitled Pictures for Musique (1979). Over the years, many guitarists have performed in the Rhys Guitar Orchestra, including members of Sonic Youth, Tortoise, Godspeed You!
