Exploring Kilkenny - Ireland's Medieval Masterpiece

Join us in the medieval capitol of Ireland, Kilkenny, as we travel the Medieval Mile and take in such sites as Kilkenny Castle, Butterslip Lane, the Black Abbey, and the last surviving piece of the Norman gates in the city, the Black Freren Gate. Chris will try to overcome his "Vertigo" to climb the 100 foot Round Tower at St. Canices, and we'll learn about Petronella and Dame Alice Kyteler, who were charged with witchcraft 400 years before the Salem trials. We'll stop in for a pint or a bite at a the lovely Cakeface, the thoroughly unique Bridies Bar and General Store, and Smithwick's tasting room.
