We made a 3D plywood city map, and now we've decided to take a cue from William, our own Shakespeare, and create a map of Lake Baikal with the same bottom relief. This technology can be used to create not only depth maps but also elevation maps. Any topography is possible. This project isn't a completely new one; we found it online. We really wanted to replicate it. After some thought, we completed the project. Perhaps we made a mistake somewhere along the way, but overall, we're confident the technology is just right. Lake Ladoga is a very interesting place with a very complex bottom, but we decided to go big – the largest freshwater body on the planet. So, laser cutting plywood can create works of art!
