The Anaga and Teno Rural Parks, two of Tenerife's most important natural areas, are facing serious problems with feral livestock. Feral goats are destroying two of the Canary Islands' main biodiversity reserves. They roam unchecked through these protected areas and pose a serious threat to vulnerable or endangered endemic plant species.
