Returning to the good life | Slow living in the French countryside
The start of summer signals returning to the good life. We embrace our slow living ways with joy – weeding, harvesting, creating and getting the keys to our new shop! It’s an exciting time but the sudden increase in temperature forces a slower pace on us all. It is impossible to work in the heat of the midday sun and so we must also make time for rest. #slowliving #growyourown #homesteadingfamily Links: If you’d like to support the channel further you can make a one-off donation to our Buy Me A Coffee page: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/livingin... or via PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/livingintheloire Visit Studio Poirier, our ceramics and fibre arts shop: https://www.studiopoirier.com Join us on our Discord channel: / discord You can also follow us on Instagram: / livingintheloire If you’d like to drop us an email, feel free to at [email protected] _______________________________________ Welcome to Living in the Loire, we are a young family in rural France, renovating previously poorly converted barns. We aim to do most of the work ourselves, being as frugal and as eco as possible. We are learning on the job and we hope to share the skills we pick up along the way. When possible we will take you on a tour of the region (the garden of France) sharing with you the numerous chateaux, towns and markets. As well as the house we will be transforming the garden, bringing part of it back to its previous use as a potager. This is our dream and one of the main reasons of leaving the city to move to the countryside in France. Join us on our journey!
